World War History WWI I Germany and Hitler1938-1945 by Sherif Monem

World war WWII was very much flawed by Germany over confidence of itself and belittling the enemy capability and resolve. Poor war plans and amateurish behavior and lack of precautions.

Operation Barbarossa was very grandeur and very ambitious bt attacking the Soviet Union in three fronts and diluting the punching power. It was sufficient to attack only in one front rather than three such attacking the Capital city of Moscow only.

After the Barbarossa started  Hermann Goring lied and made rosy and false promises that the Sixth army fighting at Stalingrad could be supplied by air. This was crazy assumption and beyond the capability of the Wulfvaffe and adding to that many German planes were shot down during the supply operation.

The final outcome instead of a decision to retreat the sixth army was encircled and defeated.
