Germany Roulette War Strategy and its Crushing Defeat During World War II History analysis by Sherif S. Monem

Image
Germany Roulette War Strategy Defeat World War II History analysis Sherif S. Monem Germany war strategy decisions that caused its collapse and ultimate defeat was caused by Russian Roulette mentality and also to the impulsive behavior. Russian campaign was a roulette gambling mentality. Not sure of wining they.indulged in such campaign at great risk. When it appeared they are losing the gamble they did not pull the chair of the Roulette sampling table. The Kursk offensive was failure and very costly. To make things worse Hitler over ruled general  Manstein suggestion to begin the military campaign in earnest and this was to the advantage to the Russians to bolster their defenses through laying mine fields and what else. It was better for these German troupes to retreat to defend their home land from invasion. Manstein regarded the Battle of Kursk as something of a German victory, as he believed that he had destroyed much of the Red Army's offensive capacity ...

Nuremberg Trials Master Double Standard commentary by Sherif S Monem

Nuremberg Trials were extremely unfair and the charges levied against the German leaders can be levied against other countries and the fact she invaded the Baltic countries and attacked Finland and sliced part of its territory and commuted many other crimes. Now the areal holocaust on civilians in German cities and the inferno in Dresden. The British air commander Arthur Harris can be picked up as war criminal by the same standards of Nuremberg Trials

Germany Military Campaign in North Africa during WW II Master Stupidity World History Analysis by Sherif Monem

Germany military Intervention in North Africa to rescue the incompetent Italians army units was folly and sheer madness. Their goal to reach the Suez canal was crazy. They were in big mess in Europe why they should have not all resources deployed their to defend themselves from soon big threats directed to their own country? How they can protect their supplies across the Mediterranean see? Where is the water and food to sustain their troops? Why they over estimate their power to think they can reach the Suez and cut through very populous country with primitive routs? As their manpower they ignored  that the British can bring over huge infirmary  from India, Australia, New Zealand and others. Even with great nation with highly decorated military leaders they can act very stupidly demonstrating very lack of wide vision and not realizing what mess they are getting themselves into.

Top 10 Greatest Military Blunders of World War II

Top 10 Greatest Military Blunders of World War II POSTED BY  JEFF DANELEK  ON  APRIL 26, 2010  IN  HISTORY ,  POLITICS  | 57,954 VIEWS |  115 RESPONSES There’s no doubt that the Second World War was the greatest conflict in modern history and the one event that continues to impact our world to this day. Consider how the world would look today had it not been fought, or had Japan and Germany won? And, even more intriguing, what if B had happened instead of A and the world taken a different direction as a result? It staggers the imagination. The fact that it turned out the way it did, however, was the result of a number of factors, both positive and negative. What’s perhaps most important in understanding why one side won and the other lost is in recognizing that victory was not determined so much by who won the most battles—although ultimately that was a factor—but by who made the fewest costly mistakes.  With that in m...

SIEGE OF LENINGRAD

Image
After the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union in the summer of 1941, a German army surrounded the city of Leningrad in an extended siege beginning that September. In subsequent months, the city sought to establish supply lines from the Soviet interior and evacuate its citizens, often using a hazardous “ice and water road” across Lake Ladoga. A successful land corridor was created in January 1943, and the Red Army finally managed to drive off the Germans the following year. Altogether, the siege lasted nearly 900 days and resulted in the deaths of more than 1 million civilians. // http://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/siege-of-leningrad

German-Soviet Non-aggression Pact

Image
On August 23, 1939–shortly before World War II (1939-45) broke out in Europe–enemies Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union surprised the world by signing the German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact, in which the two countries agreed to take no military action against each other for the next 10 years. With Europe on the brink of another major war, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin (1879-1953) viewed the pact as a way to keep his nation on peaceful terms with Germany, while giving him time to build up the Soviet military. German chancellor Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) used the pact to make sure Germany was able to invade Poland unopposed. The pact also contained a secret agreement in which the Soviets and Germans agreed how they would later divide up Eastern Europe. The German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact fell apart in June 1941, when Nazi forces invaded the Soviet Union. http://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/german-soviet-nonaggression-pact In the previous year, Hitler had annexed Austria and h...

Preserving the Blue Eyes and blonde Hair in Scandinavia by Sherif Monem

Image
The blue eyes and blond hair may disappear in the Scandinavian countries through marriage with no blue eyes. No law can ban or prevent that but it would be nice that the Scandinavian will be known for that. The blue eyes may slowly disappear Peter Frost has written a cool paper on the evolution of blond hair and the origin of the remarkable diversity of eye and hair color in Northern and Eastern Europeans.  His paper will be published in the upcoming March edition of the journal Evolution and Human Behavior.  Frost is spot-on in nailing intense sexual selection as the primary reason for the high prevalence of blondness, which is of recent origin (less than 20,000 years old), and the unusual diversity of hair and eye color among Northern and Eastern Europeans.  Whereas Frost’s proposed reason for the intense sexual selection is open to debate, the conclusion that intense sexual selection is implicated is almost certain.  I am including his paper in this post,...
